Running from 1953 to 1958, the fourdisc box set The Singing Ranger, Vol. 2 contains everything Hank Snow recorded during those five years, including all the hits and a bevy of outtakes. Again, the set is not for the fairweather fan there’s plenty of brilliant music here, but its very scope makes it appealing only to completists, who will find much to treasure.
